Energizing + Hydrating Electrolyte Drink
Hydration is so important and so easy to forget, which is why I adore this recipe. It upgrades water in the best way – making it not only easy, but fun to hit your hydration goals. This drink is perfect for sunny days, post-workout recovery, or fuel for living, truly.
The ginger, orange juice, and maple syrup create a unique + irresistible sweet and tangy taste. I have tried so many (too many) hydration drinks that taste strange and have an uncomfortable after taste. Honestly, this is like drinking a dessert.
Before I tried this, I was very intimidated by the concept of making my own hydration drink. But, I promise, it’s easy and quick. For some reason, I was under the impression that it’s more difficult to create a homemade hydration drink than it is to make a meal – spoiler alert: it’s not! This takes 20 minutes, tops, to produce.
Personally, I prefer this cold, but I have friends who prefer it warm. Either way – you’re benefiting from the nutrients and electrolytes from the ginger and orange juice.
This stays good for five days, unless you freeze in ice cube mold. I cannot recommend this enough – it creates the perfect hydration treat for a warm day!
