For anyone interested in getting started with the practice of Mindful Eating, Mindful Eating: A Guide to Rediscovering a Healthy and Joyful Relationship with Food by Jan Chozen Bays, MD is the best place to get started. I cannot tell you how many client’s I have recommended this book to and how impactful it has been for them. Bays uses antidotes, provides exercises, and uses plain language to help you really, I mean really, understand mindful eating.

I was skeptical to get one myself, but I was so glad I did. The InstantPot definitely lives up to the hype and is completely worth taking up the space on your countertop. Being able to cook slow cooker meals in under 20 minutes is a blessing that we should all be thankful for! The InstantPot is the easiest, fastest, and most convenient way to cook healthy, delicious, and oh so satisfying meals.

I have also been recommending this cookbook to many of my clients: The Complete Plant-Based Cookbook: 500 Inspired, Flexible Recipes for Eating Well Without Meat by America’s Test Kitchen. This recipe book contains 500 plant based recipes that use simple ingredients and unique cooking methods. Best part of this cookbook is that all of the recipes are relatively quick and easy.

Meal delivery services can be a scary commitment to make. You may have asked yourself “what if I don’t like the food?” or “what if I don’t eat everything?” Instead of locking yourself into a commitment, try a gift box instead! Meal subscription service, Daily Harvest, offers holiday gift baskets ranging from $50-$75 where you can choose what food items you want to try. The best part of Daily Harvest is that you are able to eat whole foods with little to no prep.

I hope this helps you find gifts for the mindful eaters in your family, maybe you’ll buy some of these things for yourself!

Happy Holidays everyone!
